Perth Glory have completed the signing of Spanish midfielder Xavi Torres following on from his release from Sporting Gijon earlier this summer.
The 30-year-old signed for the Asturian club last summer having previously had stints at Barcelona, Malaga, Levante, Getafe and Real Betis.
However, Torres was unable to help Sporting avoid relegation to the second tier and he now joins fellow Spaniards Diego Castro and Andreu at the Australian club.
“I'm really excited to be here,” Torres is quoted as saying by ESPN.
“I have heard good things about the club and the league from Diego and Kenny Lowe and now I want to win things with Perth Glory.”
