Isco reveals free-kick agreement

Isco has revealed he and Sergio Ramos had an agreement regarding who would take free-kicks against Italy on Saturday night.

Defender Ramos blazed over from the first set-piece of the game before Isco took the second free-kick, curling it into the top corner to give La Roja the lead on the night.

“Sergio told me he would take the first free-kick and said I could take the next one if it didn’t work, so I told him 'I'll score it',” Isco is quoted as saying by Marca.

“I hit it and luckily it was perfect and went in! Hitting two shots and scoring two goals is great, so I'm happy to be able to help the team on what was a really important night for us.”

Next up for Spain is a trip to Liechtenstein on Tuesday night, where they will hope to take another step closer to qualification for the 2018 World Cup.
