New Sevilla signing Lionel Carole has described the club as ‘something else’ following a loan move from Galatasaray.
The 26-year-old full-back joined Los Rojiblancos on Thursday in a season-long move and will provide competition to established left-back Sergio Escudero in Eduardo Berizzo’s squad.
“Galatasaray is a big club but Sevilla is something else,” Carole told Sevilla’s club website.
“I'm very happy to come here; it's a big opportunity and a very important move for me, where I will attempt to give my all – this is the biggest opportunity of my career so far.
“Escudero? He is a really great player who I not only hope to compete with but to learn a lot from and this is a big reason for my move.”
Carole made 66 first-team appearances with the Istanbul-based club having previously had stints with Benfica and Troyes, and is the Andalucian side’s eighth arrival of the summer.
