Betis target Joel Campbell

Real Betis are hopeful of constructing a deal to bring Arsenal forward Joel Campbell to the club, say reports in Spain.

ABC de Sevilla say Los Verdiblancos are hopeful of offloading Didier Digard and Roman Zozulya which should clear funds to allow a move for the Costa Rica international.

The 25-year-old previously enjoyed a loan spell at the Seville-based club in the 2012/13 season, netting twice in 21 La Liga starts.

Campbell has since enjoyed loan spells at Olympiakos, Villarreal and Sporting CP, while also enjoying first-team action at the Gunners, and is said to be open to a move.

Despite suffering an injury on international duty in the Gold Cup in June, this is not thought to prevent a transfer and should the North London side sanction a move, a return to Seville appears likely.
