Lucas Perez is set to return to Deportivo La Coruna on loan only a year after joining Arsenal for a €20m fee, say reports.
The Daily Mail state the Gunners have lowered their €15m asking price for the Spain international due to his insistence to return to the Riazor, with the Galician club unable to afford such a fee.
Depor have pursued a return for the 28-year-old all summer and were said to have had offers of €10m and €12m knocked back by the North London club.
The loan is set to be concluded for a fee in the region of €4.5m with a purchase option included in the move, which will be considered a coup for Pepe Mel’s side.
Perez netted only once in eleven league outings for Arsenal in his sole season in North London where he struggled to dislodge the established attackers at the club, who have since signed Alexandre Lacazette.
