Juve Gomes offer rejected

Juventus have seen a loan offer for Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes rejected with the Catalan club demanding a permanent deal, say reports in Spain.

According to Marca, the Italian champions offered to take the Portuguese international on loan with an option to buy but this was not considered by the Blaugrana.

It is said that officials at the Copa Del Rey holders are demanding a permanent transfer, or at the very least a loan with a compulsory purchase option.

The 24-year-old midfielder arrived at the Camp Nou last summer from Valencia for €35m, plus a further €20m in add-ons, but has endured an underwhelming debut season.

Gomes featured 47 times for the Blaugrana last season but started only 17 La Liga games and was even played at right-back on occasion.
