Napoli are ‘insisting’ on signing Barcelona’s Denis Suarez this week with the midfielder hopeful on a move, say reports in Spain.
According to El Mundo Deportivo, the 23-year-old is keen on the idea of working with Napoli Coach Maurizio Sarri and has requested the Catalan club to allow him to depart.
However, the Blaugrana wish to retain the midfielder, who enjoyed stints at Villarreal and Sevilla, although he does have a release clause of €40m.
The Naples-based club would not be willing to offer that amount for Suarez, who has won one cap for Spain, and their ‘Plan B’ is young Manchester City midfielder Oleksander Zinchenko.
