Napoli have returned with a renewed attempt to sign Real Sociedad goalkeeper Geronimo Rulli, say reports in Spain.
According to Onda Cero journalist Mario Gago Huerta, the Italian giants have offered €26m for the Argentine shot-stopper.
This latest development comes following reports Napoli goalkeeper Pepe Reina could be on the verge of joining Paris Saint-Germain from the club.
25-year-old Rulli has previously ruled out leaving the Basque club this summer although this latest offer – thought to be €11m more than the previous Napoli bid – could change the situation.
Rulli played every minute for La Real in their La Liga campaign last year, helping them to a Europa League position this season and has a €40m release clause in his contract.
