Preview: Espanyol-Leganes

Espanyol will be looking to kick-start their season with three points when they welcome Leganes to Cornella-El Prat on Sunday.

Espanyol boss Quique Sanchez Flores on his side’s lack of activity in the transfer market: “I really appreciate the great effort made at the start of the window to bring in players.

“Now we’ll wait. Evaluations can only be made once the window is shut. After that, we’ll have no qualms talking about our objectives.”

Leganes boss Asier Garitano on signing young striker Owusu Kwabena: “Owusu won’t play in La Liga, plus he’s arrived with an injury.

“He’ll stay if no other striker comes in, but we know what we need and we hope to sign two or three more players. We need a central midfielder, a winger and a striker.”
