Argentinos Juniors midfielder Esteban Rolon has arrived in Malaga ahead of completing a €3m deal, say multiple reports in Spain.
Club president Sheikh Abdullah Al Thani took to Twitter earlier in the week to report a deal had been cancelled as the Costa Del Sol club “were wasting time for nothing" but the midfielder is now set to undergo a medical ahead of a move.
Malaga had already signed Banfield midfield Emanuel Cecchini from Argentina who is set to replace Pablo Fornals, who joined Villarreal, while Rolon is said to be seen as a replacement for Ignacio Camacho.
22-year-old Rolon has made 53 appearances for the top-flight Argentine side and was also reportedly a target for Genoa.
