Manchester City are considering whether to trigger the release clause €30m (£27m) release clause of Espanyol defender Aaron Martin, say reports.
According to The Sun, Pep Guardiola is hopeful of adding one more full-back to his squad and the 20-year-old is his prime target.
City are said to have already bid €20m for the defender, an offer rejected by the Catalans, who are holding out for his release clause.
The left-back broke into Quique Sanchez Flores’s side last season, making 28 starts in La Liga and reportedly attracting attention from Manchester United and Barcelona.
Martin came through the youth ranks at the RCDE Stadium and has represented Spain at Under-19 level.
