Barca agreement for €150m Dembele

Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund have reached an agreement for the transfer of striker Ousmane Dembele for a reported fee of between €145-150m.

Despite multiple reports of a deal, there is little agreement between media outlets over the payment structure: Marca, Diario AS and El Mundo Deportivo all report a base fee of €105m but Marca say there are €45m in add-ons, while the others insist that sum is lower.

BeIn Sports were the first to report a deal on Thursday but say the upfront payment is €120m while French newspaper L’Equipe and German outlet Bild both state the deal will reach €150m.

The 20-year-old is set to sign a five-year contract at the Camp Nou and is set to become the world’s second most expensive player, following Neymar’s €222m move to Paris Saint-Germain.

The French international is one of the highest rated talents in football and netted 10 times in 49 appearances in all competitions for Dortmund.

Dembele moved to Germany a year ago from Rennes on a five-year deal for a €15m fee and various reports suggest the Ligue 1 side are set to net between €30-40m for this move.
