Adnan Januzaj promises to dedicate his first Real Sociedad goal to former Manchester United Coach Louis Van Gaal due to their strained relationship.
La Real bought the Belgian international for €11m from United earlier this summer following unsuccessful loan spells at Borussia Dortmund and Sunderland.
“My first goal will be dedicated to Louis Van Gaal,” Januzaj told Diario AS.
“I do not want to talk about him, because everyone knows there were difficulties between us. We did not have the best relationship, everyone knows.
“It was not easy, it's very frustrating and difficult when you find something like that.
“Mourinho? I have nothing bad to say about him. As a coach I have no criticism, from the beginning it was very fair.
“I want to prove that I'm a good player. There have been a lot of comments on my performance and my quality, whether I have fulfilled those expectations that were on me from before.
“People in football know how to understand the difficulties I have had in my career…not playing many games, being played out of position, sustaining injuries.”
