Rafinha keen on Milan move

Barcelona midfielder Rafinha Alcantara wants to join Milan and the Italian giants must now decide if they want to push the deal through.

Sky Sport Italia report the 24-year-old favours a move to the Rossoneri and a loan deal with an option to buy is the most likely scenario, but the Milanese club are not convinced.

The Brazilian has a current deal at the Camp Nou until June 2020 but wants first-team football, especially in light of next summer’s World Cup in Russia.

The midfielder has struggled with injuries since rupturing his ACL against Roma in 2015, scoring seven times in 28 appearances last season.

Earlier in the summer it had been reported Rafinha – whose brother Thiago players for Bayern Munich – could be a lightweight in a deal for Arsenal full-back Hector Bellerin, but that deal is now dead in the water due to Nelson Semedo’s arrival at Barca.
