Amiens ask for Digard

Ligue 1 side Amiens may provide an exit route out of Real Betis for midfielder Didier Digard, according to reports.

El Desmarque cites reports in L’Equipe that the 31-year-old may return to France after joining Los Verdiblancos from Nice two years ago.

The former Middlesbrough holding midfielder fell out of favour at the Estadio Benito Villamarin and was loaned to Osasuna last season but played in only three games before suffering an ACL knee injury.

Amiens were promoted to France’s top flight for the first time ever after securing back-to-back promotions but are concerned by Digard’s wage demands and uncertainty over his knee.
