Uruguayan midfielder Felipe Carballo ‘wants to join Sevilla’ and could join the club from Nacional for a fee of around €3m, say reports.
The 20-year-old has made 27 appearances for the Penarol-based club since making his debut in 2015 and is being linked with a variety of European clubs, including Villarreal.
“We hope Sevilla do sign him because ultimately it is where he wants to play,” Carballo’s representatives are quoted as saying by Estadio Deportivo.
“Villarreal interest? No there is nothing in that, although another club is hopeful of signing him also.”
