Milan in for Barca’s Rafinha?

Milan have reportedly contacted Barcelona to open talks for the transfer of midfielder Rafinha Alcantara.

Calciomercato.com state the 24-year-old could be the “last shot” for the Milanese giants in the transfer market this summer as he represents “an opportunity they would gladly take.”

The Brazilian has a current deal at the Camp Nou until June 2020 but wants first-team football, especially in light of next summer’s World Cup in Russia.

The midfielder has struggled with injuries since rupturing his ACL against Roma in 2015, scoring seven times in 28 appearances last season.

Earlier in the summer it had been reported Rafinha – whose brother Thiago players for Bayern Munich – could be a lightweight in a deal for Arsenal full-back Hector Bellerin, but this deal is now dead in the water due to Nelson Semedo’s arrival at Barca.
