Marca: Di Maria Barca’s new priority

Barcelona have made Paris Saint-Germain winger Angel Di Maria their new priority after abandoning a move for Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho, say reports in Spain.

According to Marca, the Argentine – who previously spent four seasons at Barca’s arch rivals Real Madrid – will be pursued now after the club admitted defeat in their attempts to sign Philippe Coutinho.

Furthermore, the report states that the Parisians value the 29-year-old at €55m which means the Blaugrana will aim to sign him alongside Nice midfielder Jean Michael Seri at a combined price significantly less than Liverpool’s valuation of the Brazilian.

Di Maria left the Bernabeu for an ill-fated move to Manchester United in 2014 before moving to the Parc des Princes the following year and he has netted 16 Ligue 1 goals in 61 appearances.

The Rosario-native looks set to be one of the major departures for Unai Emery’s side who have already signed Neymar and are said to be preparing moves for Monaco duo Kylian Mbappe and Fabino.
