Vitolo will sit out Saturday’s clash between Las Palmas and Atletico Madrid on Saturday due to a gentleman’s agreement between the clubs.

The Spain international departed Sevilla in acrimonious circumstances earlier this summer when his €40m release clause was triggered by Los Rojiblancos.

Due to Atletico’s player registration ban, he joined the Gran Canarian club on a temporary deal until January, when he will then make his debut for Diego Simeone’s side.

Marca report that there is no official agreement which ensures the 27-year-old will not participate in a clash between the sides but he will sit the clash out due to the ‘courtesy’ of Los Amarillos.

Vitolo will join Antoine Griezmann, who was dismissed against Girona on the opening day, on the sidelines.
