Sergi Roberto ‘losing patience’ at Barca

Sergi Roberto is losing patience at Barcelona and is considering leaving the club this summer, say reports in Spain.

Diario Sport state the 25-year-old is growing increasingly frustrated with life at the Camp Nou and the signing of Paulinho is further adding to his unrest.

Aleix Vidal was started at right-back in Sunday’s Supercopa defeat to Real Madrid while Nelson Semedo has also been signed from Benfica, meaning Roberto’s opportunities will be limited to a midfield role.

However, despite replacing Andres Iniesta in the 68th minute his chances of a regular spot appear slim to the signing of Paulinho alongside the reported arrival of Philippe Coutinho from Liverpool.

Iniesta, Busquets and Rakitic are preferred as the midfield trio with contention from Andre Gomes and Denis Suarez, leaving Roberto potentially isolated.

A graduate of La Masia, the versatile player has a €40m release clause and the report states Manchester United, Chelsea, Juventus and Milan are all prepared to trigger such a clause to land the midfielder.
