United, Gala in for Arda – report

Arda Turan is set to leave Barcelona this summer and reports in Spain suggest an exit is imminent with Galatasaray in the driving seat.

According to Diario AS, the player’s agent Ahmet Bulut is currently in Catalonia to speed up the Turkey international’s exit with his former side Galatasaray expressing the strongest interest.

Arda previously spent five years in the Turkish side’s first team, winning a league, cup and Super Cup during his stint, before joining Atletico Madrid in 2011.

AS also mentions possible interest from Manchester United with Jose Mourinho reportedly a long-term admirer of the former Atleti player, although no formal offer has been made from England.

Bulut is reportedly closely linked to Jorge Mendes, agent of Mourinho, and such a link is said to open up the possibility of a move to Old Trafford should a return to Istanbul not materialise.

Since moving to the Camp Nou in 2015 the midfielder has struggled to nail down a first-team place, but has scored 19 goals in 53 appearances across all competitions.
