Leganes target Juve’s Thiam

Leganes are weighing up a move for Senegalese forward Mame Baba Thiam who is thought to be available on an affordable transfer, say reports.

Sky Sport Italia state the Madrid-based club have dispensed of their ambitious chase of Roma’s Juan Manuel Iturbe due to expense and instead have turned to 24-year-old Thiam.

The forward has never made a first-team appearance for the Bianconeri and has returned from a loan spell at Empoli following similar stints at PAOK, Zulte Waregem and Luciano.

A product of Inter’s youth system, Thiam’s contract at the J-Stadium expires in June 2018 and the Italian champions are hopeful of moving him on in a permanent deal.
