Deportivo La Coruna are still hopeful of re-signing Arsenal striker Lucas Perez but don’t believe they can match competing offers.
The Galician club have tabled a €10m bid for the 28-year-old whom they sold to the Gunners for €20m last season but Fenerbahce and Newcastle United are among the other clubs linked to the striker.
“We can't wait much longer and are looking at other options,” Depor president Tino Fernandez told the Galicia en Goles radio show.
“We are in August and it is an important position and whilst nothing is impossible, we have a (financial) limit.
“I will not speak of figures but we have done all we can and understand the importance that I believe Lucas can have in this team next season.
“This is a very difficult negotiation but if I didn't think there was a chance I would say so.
“If we are still in the race it's because we believe there’s a possibility and we will continue to fight because the truth is the player is looking forward to joining us.”
