Valencia close in on Inter duo

Valencia are hopeful of completing deals for Inter duo Jeison Murillo and Geoffrey Kondogbia this week with director general Mateu Alemany flying to Milan.

Reports in CalcioMercato and Gianluca Di Marzio’s website state a Los Che entourage are in the Italian city to negotiate a fee for defender Murillo and a loan deal for former Sevilla midfielder Kondogbia.

The Nerazzurri are reportedly holding out for €15m for the Colombian Murillo while Valencia’s current budget is said to be restricting them to a limit of €12m.

Both clubs are said to be keen on a loan agreement for Kondogbia, 24, but the Italian club are insisting of a compulsory purchase option which has dissuaded Alemany.

25-year-old Murillo spent four seasons in Spain across stints with Cadiz, Las Palmas and Granada before moved to the Milanese giants in 2015.

Despite featuring 68 times for Inter across two seasons, he looks likely to depart following the arrival of Slovakian defender Milan Skriniar from Sampdoria and a deal is still thought to be likely.
