Sevilla complete Kjaer signing

Sevilla have completed the signing of Denmark captain Simon Kjaer on a four-year contract from Fenerbahce.

The 28-year-old, who has won 67 international caps, has arrived at the Andalucians in a deal reported to be worth in the region of €11m.

A powerful and commanding central defender, the Dane is the seventh arrival of the summer at Los Rojiblancos following Nolito, Luis Muriel, Ever Banega, Guizo Pizarro, Jesus Navas and Sebastien Corchia.

Kjaer amassed 88 appearances in two seasons in Istanbul having previously enjoyed spells at Palermo, Wolfsburg, Roma and Lille, and will replace Adil Rami who has joined Marseille.

As things stand, spending at Estadio Sanchez Pizjuan has eclipsed every other La Liga side this summer.
