Newly-promoted Getafe have completed a season-long loan deal for Arsenal’s third choice goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez.
The 24-year-old has only made 13 first-team appearances for The Gunners and has previously enjoyed loan spells at Wolves, Sheffield Wednesday, Rotherham and Oxford.
The Argentine is behind Petr Cech and David Ospina in the pecking order at The Emirates but was their League Cup goalkeeper last season and made two Premier League appearances.
A statement on the North London club’s website said Martinez was being loaned out to the Madrid-based club “to gain further first team experience.”
