Kylian Mbappe has told Monaco he wants to leave the club amid transfer speculation linking him with a move away, say reports.

According to L’Equipe, the 18-year-old striking sensation has informed the French champions of his desire to leave the club following reports of interest from Real Madrid, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City.

Reports in Marca last month suggested Madrid had agreed a €180m fee for the teenager but this now appears to have been a little premature with no firm decision made over his future.

The France international’s supposed desire to leave come in the immediate aftermath of Neymar’s official decision to leave Barca, making reports of the Monaco man moving to the Camp Nou inevitable.

English side Man City are also said to have a strong interest in the frontman alongside Ligue 1 rivals PSG – although Monaco would be unwilling to sell to any direct rival.

Mbappe scored 26 goals across all competitions last season – his first full season as a regular in the top flight of French football.
