Sporting Gijon have completed the signing of Colombian central defender Juan Quintero on a season-long loan deal.
The 22-year-old arrives on a deal until the end of the season but the Asturian club have included an option to purchase and he looks set to replace Jorge Mere, who joined FC Koln last month.
Quintero was included in the Colombia squad for the 2016 Summer Olympics but did not feature in the tournament.
All four of Sporting’s signings thus far have been on loan deals with Alex Bergantinos (Deportivo La Coruna), Ruben Garcia (Levante) and Stefan Scepovic (Getafe) the other arrivals.
