Milan are moving closer to a deal for Diego Costa with the Serie A giants hopeful of a permanent deal for the Chelsea striker, say reports.
Reports in Sky Sport Italia say the striker is open to a move to the Rossoneri and whilst his preference is for this to be a loan deal until January – when he can then register for Atletico Madrid – he could move on a permanent transfer.
The 28-year-old’s agent Jorge Mendes is said to have been instrumental in quickening talks with the Milanese club amid pondering from Atletico, who may now miss out on the striker altogether.
The Spain international has not trained with Chelsea this pre-season following a text message from Coach Antonio Conte that he was no longer part of the club’s plans.
