Costa ‘losing patience’ with Atleti

Diego Costa is reportedly running out of patience with Atletico Madrid's failure to step up their chase to sign him from Chelsea.

The Spain international has told his current club that he wishes to leave, with a return to the Rojiblancos by far his preferred option.

However, Marca reports that the 28-year-old is growing frustrated with the length of time it is taking Atleti to make their move, so much so that he may decide to consider other options available.

The situation is complicated by the fact Atleti are currently under a transfer embargo, meaning that any player they sign this window will not be able to play until January.

However, with Costa having made it so clear that he wants to rejoin the Spanish capital side, he is said to have become agitated by the Rojiblancos' lack of action.

The Brazil born forward enjoyed a highly-successful four year spell with Atleti between 2010 and 2014, winning the Copa del Rey and playing a key role in the memorable La Liga title win of 2014.
