Atleti want swift Siquera sale

Atletico Madrid are hopeful of swiftly concluding the sale of out-of-favour full-back Guilherme Siqueira, who spent last season on loan at Valencia.

According to Marca, the Brazilian left-back’s exit is now a priority for Los Rojiblancos after loan exits were agreed for Diogo Jota, Bernard Mensah and Emiliano Velazquez to Wolves, Kasimpasa and Getafe respectively.

The 31-year-old joined Los Che on February 1 2016 and made 26 first-team appearances but failed to make a significant positive impact at the Mestalla.

A return to Brazil has been mentioned but no clubs have yet made an official approach for the former Lazio, Udinese, Granada and Benfica full-back.

Atletico are also hopeful on exits for Luciano Vietto and Matias Kranevitter although these are not viewed as priorities and could be in Diego Simeone’s squad next season should no buying clubs be found.
