Betis line up Carlos Vela bid

Real Betis are lining up a move for Real Sociedad forward Carlos Vela, who has only one year left of his contract at the Anoeta, say reports.

According to Radio Sevilla, Los Verdiblancos hope to take advantage of the Mexican’s contract situation with the former Arsenal forward’s valuation around €6-8m which is seen as affordable.

Estadio Deportivo say the deal would be the ‘icing on the cake’ for Betis vice president Lorenzo Serra Ferrer who is overseeing a very busy transfer window which has seen seven arrivals and 14 exits.

La Real are open to a deal which would virtually rule out the sum spent on  Adnan Januzaj and allow them to focus on reinforcing their squad, with a meeting expected to take place this weekend.

The Belgian joined the Basque club from Manchester United earlier this month and the club reportedly wants to sign Atletico Madrid’s Angel Correa to join an attack which includes Willian Jose , Mikel Oyarzábal , Juanmi and Jon Bautista.
