Atletico Madrid forward Diogo Jota is set to join Wolverhampton Wanderers on a season-long loan deal with an option to buy, say reports.
According to the Express and Star, who originally broke the story of a deal, the 20-year-old will be announced at the English Championship club on Monday after undergoing a medical.
The 20-year-old netted nine goals in 37 appearances for FC Porto on loan last season but despite returning to Los Rojiblancos for pre-season training, he is expected to be loaned out once more.
Jota played under new Wolves Coach Nuno Espirito Santo – former Valencia boss – at Porto last season and the two are apparently keen to be reunited.
The Midlands club have close links to superagent Jorge Mendes and already have five Portuguese players – Helder Costa, Ivan Cavaleiro, Ruben Neves, Roderick Miranda and Ruben Vinagre.
Atleti signed Jota from Pacos de Ferreira a year ago before immediately returning to Portugal on loan.
