Deportivo La Coruna are favourites to sign Everton goalkeeper Joel Robles after missing out on a number of alternatives, say reports in Spain.
According to Marca, Depor missed out on Diego Alves who insisted on a return to Brazil from Valencia while Espanyol’s Roberto joined Malaga on loan.
The 27-year-old has rejected a contract renewal at The Toffees and is set to depart the club on a minimal fee, due to the arrival of Sunderland’s Jordan Pickford.
German Lux left the Galicians after a decade earlier this summer while Robles is set to choose Pepe Mel’s side ahead of Getafe, who are also interested.
The Madrid-native has made 76 appearances in England after initially joining Wigan in 2012 before moving to the Merseyside club the following year.
