Leganes and Alaves are among the clubs interested in Rennes defender Pedro Mendes, who will reportedly be on the move this summer.
According to L’Equipe, the Spanish duo are challenging Montpellier for the signature of the 26-year-old who was formerly on the books at Real Madrid.
Mendes has made 44 appearances for the French club after joining from Parma in 2015, while he has also enjoyed stints at Sassuolo and Sporting Lisbon.
Alaves are hopeful of continuing to strengthen their squad in a busy summer which has already included arrivals of Enzo Zidane and Burgui from Real Madrid, while Leganes will hope to once again stave off relegation fears.
