Alaves want Valencia’s Sivera

Alaves are hopeful of signing Valencia B’s highly-rated goalkeeper Antonio Sivera to give competition to Fernando Pacheco at the Mendizorrotza, say reports.

According to Plaza Deportiva, the 20-year-old goalkeeper is likely to complete a move to the Basque club following Valencia’s signing of Juventus goalkeeper Norberto Neto.

The Brazilian’s arrival at the Mestalla should ensure that he and Jaume Domenech are the two first-choice goalkeepers, with Diego Alves expected to follow Mathew Ryan, now at Brighton, out of the club.

Sivera started for Valencia B last season with 38 appearances as they fell short of promotion to La Liga 123 with a playoff defeat.

Adrian Ortola has left Alaves to return to Barcelona following a loan deal and the club are keen to continue their summer recruitment by bringing in the shot-stopper from Los Che.
