Aston Villa owner Tony Xia has blasted Sevilla’s lack of ‘credibility and integrity’ after cancelling their transfer of full back Jordan Amavi.
The Andalucians abandoned the move – after announcing the agreement of a five-year contract in a €10m deal – after the French defender reportedly failed a medical in Seville.
"JA's medical report was good," Xia wrote on his twitter account.
"Someone hi-level [at Sevilla] didn't agree with the transfer and found a reason of injury history which is really unfair to JA.
"Very low. I have to say, from a businessman's viewpoint. Credibility and integrity is something very basic."
Sevilla president Jose Castro said on Monday: "The only thing I can say is that this transfer is not going to be made because it is not possible."
