Madrid to unveil duo on Friday

Real Madrid will unveil both Theo Hernandez and Jesus Vallejo as first-team squad players for next season on Friday, say reports in Spain.

According to Diario AS, Madrid will announce the completion of the €24m deal for Theo from Atletico, while Vallejo returns from Eintracht Frankfurt to replace Pepe in the squad.

Zinedine Zidane’s side are set to return to pre-season training on Friday and French defender Theo, who enjoyed a year-long loan at Alaves last season, reportedly passed his medical at the Bernabeu at the beginning of May.

20-year-old Vallejo was signed by Madrid from Real Zaragoza in 2015 but was immediately loaned back to the Segunda club, before playing 25 Bundesliga matches for Frankfurt last season.

Los Blancos are reshaping their defence this summer after 34-year-old’s Pepe departure and the imminent sales of Fabio Coentrao and Danilo.
