Chelsea are hopeful of gazumping Juventus in a bid to sign Real Madrid full back Danilo, say reports in the Spanish press.
According to Marca, the Premier League champions are weighing up a move for the Brazilian to bolster their defence and believe they can take advantage of a stall in negotiations between Juve and Madrid.
Los Blancos are reportedly demanding a €30m transfer fee for the 25-year-old, whom they signed from FC Porto in 2015 while the Bianconeri have reportedly offered just €22m, which includes bonuses.
Chelsea are currently stuck in negotiations with Antonio Conte’s former club for another Brazilian full back playing at Porto – Alex Sandro, currently playing for the Italian champions.
