Barca ‘all out’ for Dembele?

Barcelona will reportedly “go all out” for Borussia Dortmund starlet Ousmane Dembele this summer.

According to L’Equipe, Barca are ready to revive their interest in Dembele, who was on technical secretary Robert Fernandez’s shortlist last year but eventually left Stade Rennais for Dortmund.

The newspaper explains Blaugrana defender Samuel Umtiti and club ambassador Eric Abidal have spoken “very highly” of their young compatriot, while his agent Moussa Sissoko refused to comment on the speculation.

“Ousmane is on holiday,” he told the French publication. “I can’t comment on all the information that appears about his future.”

“It’s true that there are several important clubs in Europe interested in him and that’s one way to recognise his good performance levels.”

The 20-year-old scored 10 goals and assisted 21 in 49 appearances for BVB last season and can play anywhere in attack, although he prefers being positioned in the hole or on the left wing.

Although L’Equipe does not give an asking price, it is expected to be considerably higher than the €15m Dortmund paid for the Frenchman last summer.
