Alaves have completed the signing of teenage forward Yiming Yan – an Under 19 Chinese international, the club have confirmed.
Having started his career at Beijing Guoan CF, Yan went on to join the youth teams at Atletico Madrid before making the move to the Basque club.
He is regarded as one of the brightest youth prospects in Chinese football and has starred in youth teams up to Under 19 level, and is expected to form a key part of their Tokyo Olympics 2020 squad.
Yan is not expected to be involved in Alaves’ first-team squad next season and is likely to be integrated into their youth system.
