Italian plan for Las Palmas?

Las Palmas are set to make a triple swoop of Italian-based players after appointing former Palermo boss Roberto De Zerbi, according to reports.

Reports in Tuttomercatoweb state the appointment of De Zerbi at Estadio Gran Canaria is ‘imminent’ but the club have already begun work on deals for Serie A players.

Cagliari pair Diego Farias and Fabio Pisacane are among the players linked with Los Amarillos along with Empoli’s Marcel Buchel, a Liechtenstein international.

26-year-old only made 15 Serie A appearances for Empoli last season and will be among the players to leave the relegated club.

Brazilian Farias netted seven goals in just 12 Serie A starts last season while defender Pisacane won the Guardian’s Footballer of the Year for 2016 for overcoming Guillain-Barre syndrome as a teenager and appearing in the top flight aged 30.
