Chelsea have reportedly taken the lead in the race to sign Real Madrid midfielder James Rodriguez.
According to AS, Chelsea have gone back in for James as they plan to sell Cesc Fabregas, leaving them light in the creative-midfield department, with Oscar having already departed.
Furthermore, the Blues will not want to miss out on another Madrid target after seemingly losing Alvaro Morata to Manchester United.
