Griezmann tells Atletico he wants move

Antoine Griezmann has informed Atletico Madrid he wants to leave the club this summer, say reports in Spain.

According to Cadena Cope, the French forward has officially declared to Los Rojiblancos that he wants a move away from the club this summer amid reports he will move to Manchester United.

"Antoine Griezmann has informed the hierarchy of the club [Atletico] that he wishes to leave,” Cope reporter Antonio Ruiz stated.

The 26-year-old recently told French TV he rated his chances of moving to Old Trafford this summer as ‘six out of ten’ last week, while in a separate issue stated he wanted to win trophies.

The forward – who will join the France squad for the games against Paraguay and Sweden next week – netted 26 goals in total for Atleti last season and was instrumental in their run to the Champions League semi finals and a third place finish in La Liga.

Meanwhile, Cope have also reported the outcome of Atleti's appeal against their FIFA ban will be decided on Wednesday.
