Inter are hopeful of signing Real Madrid playmaker James Rodriguez this summer and may fund the move through selling Ivan Perisic, say reports.
According to AS, the Nerazzurri have made an opening offer of €42m for the Colombian star, despite Madrid valuing him at closer to €80m.
The report believes the former Porto and Monaco star is wanted by Inter’s hierarchy to be their marquee signing this summer and they are also expected to complete the signing of defender Pepe from Los Blancos.
The Milanese club are hopeful of raising €55m through the sale of Croatian winger Ivan Perisic, who is wanted by Manchester United, and this could free up space in their squad for such a move.
However, a much higher offer may be required to prize the 25-year-old away from the Bernabeu.
