Alcacer: Future out of my hands

Paco Alcacer admits his Barcelona future isn’t in his own hands although he is hopeful of prolong his stay at the Camp Nou.

The 23-year-old made only six La Liga starts this campaign for the Blaugrana but was selected for Saturday’s Copa del Rey final victory over Alaves, netting Luis Enrique’s side third goal.

"I only live in the present and right now I'm happy here," Alcacer told reporters after the final.

"It is not up to me to decide what happens next season, it is the directors and the Coach.

"In the end, the hard work was reflected on the pitch. Helping the team with a goal is important and I am very happy to end the season like this.

"I have gone from down to up during the season. I always try to think in the present and on the next game and, in the end, it has its rewards.

"You can never give up and you must always give your all."

Signed from Valencia last summer, Alcacer has netted nine goals in all competitions for Barca this campaign.
