Badelj set for Los Che?

Fiorentina midfielder Milan Badelj is being considered by Valencia as part of extensive plans at a summer overhaul at the Mestalla, say reports.

The Croatian international’s contract at Stadio Artemio Franchi expires in June 2018 and according to Cadena Ser, Los Che are prepared to offer €12m for his signature.

However, the reports continues that it is ‘complicated’ for Valencia to complete a deal for the 28-year-old due to the level of interest elsewhere, although no specific clubs are mentioned.

“The time has come for Milan Badelj to leave Fiorentina,” the midfielder’s agent Dejan Joksimovic told Firenzeviola.it earlier this month.

“The player wanted to leave last summer, when we had a couple of very important offers in hand, but the club and (director Pantaleo) Corvino decided to declare he was not for sale.

“Now he has just one year left on his contract and I think the time has come for him to leave Fiorentina. It is the best thing for both Badelj and the club.

“So far we have not received any formal offers, but there is time. Maybe Fiorentina know more than me on that score…”

Another report in Cadena Ser suggests Valencia are targetting Serie A based midfielder – Mario Lemina of Juventus.
