Rosell not granted bail

Former Barcelona president has been ordered to prison without bail by a Spanish judge, according to reports.

Rosell was arrested as part of Operation Rimet earlier this week along with four others and according to El Pais, he will remain in prison until he is to face trial.

Bail was not granted as the 53-year-old reportedly to avoid any possible destruction of relevant evidence.

The former Blaugrana president stands accused of laundering €15 million in Andorra for audiovisual rights to Brazil matches before he moved to the Camp Nou.

Meanwhile, AS reports how another former Barca president, Joan Laporta, was absolved of any wrongdoing by the court.
