PL duo’s eye on Pellegrino

Premier League duo Crystal Palace and Watford are both considering a move for out-of-contract Alaves boss Mauricio Pellegrino, say reports in Spain.

According to Marca, both clubs are keeping a close eye on the 45-year-old’s situation at the Mendizorrotza, where his contract expires at the end of next month.

The Argentine has enjoyed a sensational debut season with the newly-promoted La Liga club, guiding them to a top half finish and to Saturday’s Copa del Rey decider against Barcelona.

Marca had previously reported the former Valencia Coach would not discuss his future until after the final due to links to the potential managerial vacancy at Sevilla.

Palace and Watford – who contested last season’s FA Cup semi final and both avoided relegation this campaign – are both currently manager-less after the departures of Sam Allardyce and Walter Mazzarri.
