Las Palmas in talks for Jese renewal

Las Palmas president Miguel Angel Ramirez has confirmed the club wants to renew Paris Saint-Germain’s Jese Rodriguez’s loan deal for another season.

The former Real Madrid forward spent four months on loan at his hometown club after failing to make an impression in the French capital and earlier this month saying he wanted to extend his stay with Los Amarillos.

"We want to keep him. We have begun negotiations but his wages are very high," Ramirez is quoted as saying by Marca.

"It was more difficult for us to bring Jese back in January than it is now.

"Things are now different with PSG, and if Jese leaves Paris we will be there as a great alternative."

The 24-year-old made only one Ligue 1 start in Paris before returning to La Liga, where he scored three goals in 16 appearances.
